back to brewing after a 6mths (?) break.
i discovered kombucha in 2016 and that trip itself, i did not have a single drop of alcohol from beer. but glasses after glasses of kombucha. (kombucha has like less than 1% of alcohol also) i bought a few bottles back to my hotel when i had a solo retreat then.
my first scoby + starter tea took a plane back with me from that trip. but it didnt survive cos i had no clue how to do it. the kind person who gave me didnt gave much info (probably language barrier too) and i didnt have time to find out before it “died”. someone else in singapore passed me some a few week later and ive been brewing since.
7/8 years in and i suddenly felt like im “done”. i took breaks previously, but not the same kind of feeling i felt about 6 mths ago. i switch to kefir. and took a break.
recently, im back to both – kefir and jun kombucha instead of kombucha. i did a quick research water kefir has slightly different composition. jun kombucha also has more enzymes than kombucha.
seriously, i dont understand half of what i was reading. but when the body “craves” in such way, i listen.
